Broadband in Ballarat

It seems lately that the broadband in Ballarat has fallen well behind and is going to leave us falling flat on our face as the IT section of it is taking off (especially with things such as the Get Into Games expo being hosted here).

Currently, the WEND (Wendouree), and SPOL (Sebastopol) Exchanges which provides phone and internet communications is full for people looking for ADSL2 with Optus or other carriers. Without the further funds being invested in to them, new regions that are being fed by these exchanges are restricted to average internet connections that will reflect poorly on Ballarat.

So, lets see what we can do if you would like to move in getting the Ballarat Council in improving this - if you live in these areas, let me know and i'll add you to a petition for it.

ADSL2 Is faster, and much cheaper than the current Internet you would be paying for in this area.
