Shopping, nightlife, great restaurants etc., all within walking distance. The place has a young professional vibe. Its an expensive area and house prices at present are rising rapidly all the time. Great if you already own a house here. Many investors buy here as the capital gain is tramendous and there's never a shortage of tenants.The neighours are great (without being intrusive) and you are bound to have a friendly conversation with them as they walk past on their way to the markets etc., There's a plethora of little parks everywhere. It can be a bit noisy at times with all the traffic coming into the area for the attractions mentioned but that is more than offset by the positives. Surprisingly to me, the are quite a few families here with young children. Parking can be a problem with permits required and many of the charming old cottages having no garages. Variable permits are available from the council and two resident permits are allocated per household. It's only five minutes walk to Toorak Rd., and close to the bike tracks. Prahran and South Yarra stations are only a short walk away, and there are plenty of trams in nearby Commercial Rd., Chapel Street and Toorak Rd.
