Balmoral Street South, Altona Meadows, VIC 3028

Balmoral Street South is a short street that backs onto the princess freeway. One may think that is a bad thing, but because of the hefty fence that are up, you tend to not hear much from the freeway at all.

As soon as you leave the street you have anything you could possibly need. Whether you need juice for the car (BP meters away), or want to have a kick of the footy (cricket and footy ground across the road) perhaps need a quick bite (McDonald's, Subway, KFC, Hungry Jacks, New Red Rooster and plenty of small family run business' all within a km) or you might even just be going to a mates house or even to work... Well there is the princess fwy on ramp right at your doorstep which you can get anywhere quickly. This joins with city link, or the western ring road to make any journey simple. If you're more the person to catch public transport to work, well there is a foot bridge that leads right to Laverton station. Laverton station is the most major station on the werribee line, with upgrades in development at the moment.

Apart from the above, people are friendly working class people, with some young professional buying their first homes as the retirees move on. I have lived and had friends in the area most of my life, and I can say that even though some may look a bit rougher than others, all the people I have run into have been rather nice. If were to try and find any negative, it might be that some tend to stick to themselves more than usual. That, in my eyes, isn't a drama by any stretch.
