"Benaraby - Gateway to Lake Awoonga Dam"

With its location 20km south of Gladstone , you cannot miss Benaraby. It is a small community and fairly well known to anglers, being the gateway to Lake Awoonga, which has a pile of Barramundi waiting to be caught. The Lake is one beautiful place which must not be overlooked as it is perfect for water skiing, SUP and water sports. There is also plenty of fish to be caught underneath the Benaraby Bridge. The Boyne River flows north from the lake through the locality, passing just east of the town, where it is crossed by the Bruce Highway

The town has fuel, food outlets, motel accommodation and general supplies for the traveller with a caravan park at the Lake. There is also a small fresh Fruit and Vege Market located at the Benaraby Junction turn-off.

Benaraby is also home to the popular and well-known, Benaraby Raceway, where locals can take in spectacular motorbike, drag and street racing

It is a small friendly community and properties are predominantly small acreage blocks with main town water which makes them very appealing to families.

Benaraby Primary School is built in the heart of the community and is renown locally for the annual Benaraby Fair held in August.

Looking for a home in Benaraby?

"A small town - full of families"

Benaraby is a great small agerage town, located about 20km from gladstone, and just of the bruce highway. There is a mixture of new and older homes. Most of the homes have a trampoline in the backyard and there is a great little public school located within walking distance to most of the estate. It is a small community and neighbours look out for each other. There is no pubs, eating out or shops close by (except for a corner store / servo) so you can be assured a quiet atmosphere except for the occasional rooster crowing. You need to go into Gladstone or Tannum Sands/Boyne Island for groceries, medical, childcare, pubs, beach etc. but, you can be there in 15min. You don't get a lot of traffic, only really the people that live our here come here. You are close to Awoonga Dam, where people go for fishing, boating, camping etc.
