"Ssh its a hidden gem"

We moved here from the Inner West, attracted by the larger land sizes. We love it!

Community feel: it is a small neighbourhood and you will soon recognise regulars and feel at home. Our neighbours are lovely, quiet and kind. The shopkeepers will come to know you and provide a strong sense of community. Friendly - lots of old people who like to have a chat and there are many beautiful and well-cared for gardens around.

Commercially: there are four great cafes. Shaw St Espresso does great coffee and the French Patisserie on Bexley Road does amazing cakes and baked pastries. There are Sydney neighbourhood must haves like a post office, Vietnamese bakery and newsagent, a Woollies, a great butcher that does hand carved meats and some bonus commercial offerings like two petrol stations, a bottle-o, and a couple of beauty and massage places. The food is good... the two Japanese places on Shaw St are amazing, especially the waygu buffet place that has just opened up. A 10min walk to Kingsgrove's shopping strip too.

For kids: there are three parks within 5 mins walk from our home. The nearby schools have a good reputation and they are in the catchment for Bardwell Park Infants.

Getting there and around: M5, M8, provide a quick drive into the CBD. The train station is currently undergoing an upgrade and it's only 20 mins into the city - a major selling point for us, and it takes the same time for us to get to work in town as it did when we were living in Dulwich Hill. The traffic on residential streets is fine, parking for the shops is great, but Bexley Road is a busy road. There isn't too much noise at night.

"Friendly and Quiet"

I've lived here for 5 years, it is a lovely quite suburb. Everyone is out and about for a stroll on the weekends and there is a good sense of community here. Never had an issue and it is on 20 minutes by train to the city which is great!

"Great Location"

Fabulous location.
Train line to the airport and city. A number of buses go through Bexley North which is good for families with school children or residents who don't drive.
The public school is good and is relatively small in student size compared to some other schools in the area.
Easily access the M5, 20-25 minute drive to the CBD (non-peak hour) and 20 minutes to Liverpool.
Some reasonably good priced restaurants. There is a lovely coffee shop on Shaw Street which is busy during the week and Saturday mornings
Revamped Woolworths supermarket
