Reviews of Black Forest, SA

"Family friendly neighbourhood"

We moved here a year ago and as my partner said to me it has exceeded expectations.
Tree lined streets, everyone says hello, 5 min walk from where we live to tram and train stops for easy access to city and Glenelg.
We have 2 children, 2 and 4 and there are so many other families with young kids in the area. Our eldest goes to Clarence Park Kindergarten which is a fabulous kindy and we will be said to see her leave.
Princess Margaret playground (with the trains going by) is a favourite along with Goodwood Oval. Easy access to shops, cafes etc and very quiet neighbourhood considering it’s proximity to city.

"Great location next to great schools, public transport and city"

Black Forest is a hidden treasure only realised by those that live or know someone who lives in the suburb. It's a very small suburb so it gets missed by many. It sits amongst more well-known suburbs like Millswood, Forestville & Clarence Park.

Black Forest is in the Unley Council area and the council maintains the beautiful tree-lined streets giving the area a sense that you are not actually within 5km of the Adelaide CBD but nestled somewhere near the Adelaide Hills. Many of the homes are bungalows, tudors, etc which are a drawcard for many who look to purchase property in the area due to the beautiful character of the homes both inside and out.

Black Forest Primary School has a fantastic reputation if you have young children going to primary school.

The train and tram lines both run through Black Forest so public transport is fantastic.

For dog owners, the nearby Goodwood Oval allows dogs to roam off their leashes so it is a great place to go to exercise your pooch!

Final summary....what are you waiting for? Black Forest is a beautiful place to live.

"Always wanted to live in Black Forest"

A convenient, safe, family friendly suburb with lovely charater homes, clean streets, good schools, great public transport with Tram, Train and Bus lines and good shopping near by at Goodwood, Unley and King William Roads (only 5 minutes away by car). A brilliant suburb still untapped by the housing market with many people not realising the suburb is only 5kms from the CBD however it's a suburb that people don't leave so it can be a challenge to find the right home. Homes are still at good prices, it's just a matter of time before they catch up to Millswood, Wayville and Goodwood prices. With the suburb named as it is you can see Koalas from time time crossing the street, very cute. The Unley pool is a short walk and the Goodwood oval has a great football, cricket and tennis clubs. I wont be leaving any time soon! :-)
