"Low Key Beach Lifestyle"
My Partner and i moved here over a year ago from Sydneys northern beaches and love the area (were in our early 30's) . its a very safe feeling neighbourhood and i've never lived around so many friendly people and neighbours. They all say hello, theres a Xmas street party which is super cute. I love how flat the surrounding areas are too. you can ride your bike to grab a coffee, ride to caves beach, to the pelican markets. Only thing i would say is the council needs to put some love into clearing up places like Naru in Marks point and get a bit more of a vibe going. not alot of variety of restaurants etc.

Jamie I lived there for 14 years. In tourist season it's very man woman and child for themselves. In other words any one living on Ungala Road is terrorized by day trippers and drunken parties on the beach.
For 2 weeks of the year at Xmas its busy like every other coastal town in Australia. Blackies has a magic vibe, everyone knows each other and everyone is friendly. Wouldnt live anywhere else.
There are more tourists at Blacksmiths during all school holidays (six weeks at xmas) than you are admitting to. Either you don't live there, or you are walking around Blacksmiths with your eyes closed.

I'm assuming that you do not live on Ungala Road. It is a nightmare during the summer period. Drunken parties on the beach and hoons in the car parks. I lived there for 14 years so I think I know about the area.
