Reviews of Blakehurst, NSW

"Fantastic local community"

A great suburb surrounded by water and greenery. This suburb is like a small town with lovely neighbours and community with wonderful schools. A very safe environment with great local eateries, coffee and all local amenities nearby. A few mins to local shopping complexes in south Hurstville and Southgate Sylvania and larger shopping centres -10mins to Hurstville and Miranda. Great public transport close to a quiet train station at oatley with very easy parking. Great place for couples, families and retirees.

Love Blakehurst. Walking distance to kogarah Bay shops. Neighbours actually talk to each other.

Looking for a home in Blakehurst?

"Really intriguing shape of the suburb must be gravitated to at all costs."

Opt for the South Hurstville side and you shall get more access to amenities in nearby Hurstville, which is essentially the CBD of South Sydney, and in being so, would have to be equipped with a Westfield, countless shopping options, a KFC, a train super station, a town square and lots of coaching centres to bore your child's uneventful mind. Blakehurst has a very nice Yum Cha located centrally on Princes Hwy, which provides efficient access to Carss Park which is a hotspot for leisure and beach (with less crowd, recommended to attend to on weekdays). Try to steer clear of a house situated on Princes Hwy, even if it is a profoundly nice waterfront villa because you are taking up the risk of noise pollution and go figure. You won't be left with many options. Anyway, just opt for South Hurstville, it's a better alternative which has just about as ready access to the aforementioned amenities apart from the very nice Yum Cha, which just happens to be in central Blakehurst. Then again, in Hurstville, you have the Sunny Seafood hence catering for all your dietary needs.
