Reviews of Britannia Road, Castle Hill
"Attractive older street in Castle Hill"
Britannia Road is a suburban street leading from busy Showground Rd to the south and Tuckwell Rd to the north.
This pretty street is situated in the older part of Castle Hill and as such the houses are of an older style, mostly brown brick and tile.
The lower, Showground Rd end of Britannia Rd is heavily treed and leafy. The road rises up to Tuckwell Rd, and this end is less green and more open. It’s a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of facilities close by.
There is a tiny piece of reserve on the Britannia Rd, through which you can access the massive Castle Hill RSL complex on Castle Rd, the next block over. The RSL complex features many eateries, and has a children’s playground, and special entertainment for the littlies on Tuesdays (fee). The complex also encompasses an enormous sports centre, which includes swimming pools, gyms, and childcare facilities. It’s wonderful for the whole family.
The Castle Hill Community Church is situated on Britannia Road itself, and there are numerous other facilities nearby in this extensive suburb, including the huge Castle Towers shopping centre.
This is a great family area with good driving access to the city (M2), and affordable prices.
