"Super convenient and very close to the beaches"

Super convenient with so many shops and public transport close by and just a short drive from great beaches such as Curl Curl and Freshwater

Looking for a home in Brookvale?

"Everything you need..."

Brookvale is a fabulous suburb to live in; with everything in easy reach. You can just walk down to Warringah Mall for all your shopping needs. All the northern beaches are a stones throw away and the transport into the city is great with buses every five to ten minutes. I believe that potential buyers should think twice when disregarding Brookvale.

"A Great Place to Live"

Most people don't realise what a great place Brookvale is to live. It's location makes it a fantastic place for public transport. It's very easy to get to the city by transport and also Chatwood. Outside of the heavy peak time it only takes about 20 mins to drive into the city. You are spoilt for beach choices, with Curl Curl being the closest at 5 mins away by car. It has probably the best shopping on the Northern Beaches with Warringah Mall walking distance, plenty of supermarkets to choose from and some great Italian delis nearby. Anything you want to buy can be found in Brookvale or nearby. Great schools are also handy. The local Brookvale Public School is a gem. It's only small with enrolments around 200 which gives it a lovely friendly feel. The local streets are safe and friendly. You will often meet up with other locals getting some exercise at Brookvale Oval and if you enjoy football you can walk to the game. I highly recommend Brookvale as a great place to live.

"Brookvale – Offices, shops and light industry"

Brookvale is a suburb of Sydney 16 kilometres north-east of the CBD in the local government area of the Warringah Council but still considered to be in the Northern beaches district of Sydney.

Bounded on the north by Narraweena, the east by Curl Curl, the south by North Manly and Allambie Heights and to the west by Allambie Heights. The population in 2006 was 3210 with 19% under 18 and 18% over 60. Just on half of the dwellings are separate houses and a third is rented.

The reason for the low population is that most go home at night. It is an area of small offices, light industry, shops and trades. Warringah Mall is a case in point. It is one of the large shopping centres in Sydney. It is interesting that the storm water drainage is in need of a major upgrade underneath and around the shopping centre.

The famous Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles National Rugby League's home is at Brookvale oval.

The median price for houses is $620,000 which is not high on the Sydney scale. Units have a median price of $450,000. This is interesting as the price of a unit is three quarters that of a house. Go figure!

Rentals in Brookvale

"Nightmare getting to the city during peak hours"

Brookvale is located about a thirty minutes' drive north away from Sydney in the absence of traffic. It is a relatively high income area due to its proximity to the Northern Beaches of Sydney and property and rental prices are dearer here as compared to Western Sydney. Brookvale is a good mix of commercial and residential properties. There are quite a few warehouses and offices in this area and many houses and low density residential apartments too. Warringah mall is the main mall in Brookvale. Here, you are able to find your usual department stores, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and etc.

The thing I do not like about Brookvale is the traffic in the mornings. Spit Road is the only way to get to the city and it is extremely congested in the mornings. There is no train station here and the only way is to rely on the bus to get to the city. I would only recommend living here if you do not have to commute too frequently to the city.
