Reviews of Bundaberg East, QLD

"Good depending where you live"

We lived in East Bundy for almost 3 years, in a small complex of 6 units. The area was peaceful most of the time. Hoons would drive up and down Telegraph Road and the ring road. There are parts that are not so nice, but we were close to the new estate near the ring road and found it was pretty good. Our wheelie bin was stolen on several occassions but I guess that's because the lack of facilities for kids and teenagers. There isn't much to do in Bundaberg, and am hoping to leave in the next 6 months or so. Bundaberg has high unemployment, centrelink line out the doors, rent un-affordable and increasing!

Great for

  • Quiet
  • Ready access to the ring road

Not great for

  • Bad internet connection and low mobile phone coverage
  • Traffic during peak hours

"Great quiet area"

I am on Leivesley St and am very happy and proud with the area. Guests (mostly fro sydney) often comment on how beautiful the street/area is. Everything is within a 10 minute drive, including the beach. House prices are spot on in the area and the houses here are young, solid, mostly well built buildings.

Great for

  • Quiet
  • Family Friendly
  • Affordable

Not great for

  • Internet connection below 5 mbps
  • Traffic during peak hours

"Ashfield- the New Development area of Bundaberg"

Wow, 2 years ago you wouldnt have dreamt about it, though now it is an up and coming suburb of the Bundaberg Region.
There has been steady flow of building over the last 12months, especially within Belle Eden Estate and the homes are all of very high standard. The average price within the estate would be between $380,000 and $450,000 with quite a few larger homes currently being built.
The natural parklands within this estate should be replicated more often and this developer should be pleased as it does truly compliment the area and i believe makes it even more worthy of living within the area.
So if your looking for an ultra modern home in a well kept suburb, then enquire today. 07 4151 3233.

"Quiet/ Safe/ Family Friendly"

I love living in Bundaberg East. I live down the Telegraph Street end near the Nita Cunningham Park. It is quiet, family friendly and convenient to everything. The surrounding residents are friendly and take pride in their homes and yards. I love the bird sounds in the morning. The weather is perfect with lovely afternoon breezes. Would recommend it to anyone.

"Location Plus"

After only living in Bundaberg East for 6 months, i find myself asking why i didnt do it sooner. The whole family settled very quickly, the distance to town is perfect and within reason great access to the Bundaberg Ring road.
There are a splattering of local parks in the area, whilst not decked out with massive play equipment, they are still well maintained and actually have grass mowed and big enough for kids to learn how to ride, run around and just have fun.
The property prices whilst they are on the increase with alot of larger homes in parts of east, i couldnt reccommend a more easy going suburb with great features going for it.
Happy to discuss further if your considring the area seriously.
