Reviews of Burnley, VIC

"Burnley: A Quiet Oasis in Richmond"

I lived in Burnley for two years (2014-2015), Burnley is a quiet nook in south Richmond, nestled between Swan St and the Yarra River. Parking in Burnley is plentiful and train access is fantastic, due to falling on several train lines. As long as you are not directly near the train station, it's a very quiet suburb, but it's only a short walk to Swan St. For shops, you either need to walk to Swan St, Bridge Rd or drive to Victoria Gardens. Most facilities you'll use are not located in Burnley, but in Richmond. Burnley has great parks with a family-friendly vibe about them. I felt very safe living in Burnley and had no concerns walking around at night for example. Traffic is low, but getting out of Burnley can be difficult at peak times, as there are really only two ways in and out of the suburb, both are major roads (Barkly Avenue & Madden Grove).

Not great for
