Reviews of Burswood, WA

"Burswood"

Known as the entertainment precinct, Burswood is a lively inner-city suburb of Perth predominantly associated with its entertainment and recreational facilities. Spanning three square kilometres in size, Burswood registered a population of 2,340 people at the time of the 2016 Census.

Pulsating and energetic, the most notable feature of Burswood is the recently re-developed Crown Perth. With an array of nightclubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, events rooms and of course a casino inside the establishment, Crown Perth is a much-loved fixture of Burswood for both locals and visitors.

In 2018 Optus Stadium was officially opened which is the other notable feature. With views of the picturesque Swan River and Perth city in the west and the foothills in the east, this 60,000 seat, world-class, multi-purpose stadium hosts a variety of sports and entertainment events, including Australian Football League, International and Big Bash League cricket, soccer, rugby league and union, plus concerts.

Other features include the Belmont Park Racecourse, Burswood Park Golf Course, Burswood Outdoor Cinema, Burswood Water Sports Centre and the State Tennis Centre. Perth Montessori School is the suburbs local school.

Looking for a home in Burswood?

"Luxury living, breathtaking views and a fantastic community vibe."

Within Burswood, there is a newly developed area called the Peninsula.

The Peninsula is one of my favourite places near Perth to take photographs. The whole area has been designed and masterplanned by a local developer of luxury properties. The peninusula offers visitors and residents parks, BBQ areas, walk-ways and truly breathtaking views of the City.

If you are lucky enough to know someone who lives in one of the towers, you will be able to experience the stunning views. The Peninsula overlooks the lush greens of the Burswood Golf Course, over the sparkling Swan River to the City.

It's only 5kms drive to the City if you need or you can even catch the train which is within walking distance. There's an excellent cafe', a Mediterranean restaurant and a day-spa within the Peninsula.

Aside from the amazing views, my favourite thing about Burswood Peninula is definitely the people who live here. Everyone is so friendly, it's just like a little community. There's a diverse demographic, ranging from young couples and single people, through to families and retirees.

Given the location and views of the Swan River, The Burswood Peninsula is an excellent place to watch the numerous fireworks displays, such as the Sky Show, Gloucester Park Italian Night and the amazing Chinese New Year fireworks (which are launched over the top of the Golf Course).

I recommend Burswood Peninsula to anyone who is looking for luxury living, astonishing views and a sense of community spirit.

Think this may have been written by the developers marketing department. A little too obvious!

Obvious perhaps but definitely true - try living here. 8mins to the city in peak hr traffic, 10-15mins to the airports, 5mins walk to train, 7mins walk to 24hr store and post office, supermarket & service station less than 5 mins drive. Wide open grassy spaces with big established trees attracting birds with the beautiful smell of Jasmine which is planted throughout the landscaping, kids playpark and BBQ's with Jazz playing in the park and other activities organised thanks to the "Burswood Residents Association". The peninsula is a fantastic diverse community where all are welcomed. I have lived here from tower apartment to townhouse and we love it.

Oh! did I forget to mention - 5 mins walk to the Burswood Entertainment Centre, Theatres, Restaurants & Casino for a night out. Then step outside onto the cycle paths to take you for a walk or cycle round the river to burn off any excess in the morning.

Hi,
I am the author of the first comment. I am letting you know that I definitely do no work for the marketing department of the developer (Mirvac). True, I am a relestate agent, but I'm also a keen photographer and Burswood is one of my favourite places to photograph. My family owns a couple of properties in the Burswood Peninsula and I am often in the area. I wrote the comment with a genuine aim for new people to learn about some of the secrets which Burswood has to offer. It is a beautiful, tranquil place with stunning views over the swan river, Burswood golf course and the city.

I hope you will visit and enjoy.
