1 hour to Hornsby, Sydney depends where in Sydney you are talking about. It will be 1 hour just from Hornsby to Hurstville within Sydney.

"Family estate with easy access to the M1"

Cameron Park has it all! A comfortable family estate with shops, schools, amenities and sporting/health facilities all within close proximity. The M1 motorway and Hunter Expressway are both easily accessible allowing access to Newcastle surf beaches (30 minutes) or head in the opposite direction to the Hunter Valley Wine Region.

"Fast growing community"

New development opportunities in a fast growing community suburb. Local and independent schools available.
Great sporting facilities and grounds, skate park and playground for all the family to enjoy.

Rental returns will vary depending on investment property, I would always recommend a comparable market appraisal to determine estimated rental return.

"Best decision to build here"

Made numerous close friends who are neighbours. 20 mins to Newcastle, 30 mins to Hunter Valley vineyards, 1 hour to Hornsby, supermarket in the estate with a huge shopping complex due to start construction soon. 10 minutes from Glendale Shopping Centre. Bus routes servicing the area. Only negative is the distance form the nearest train station.

"Don't want to leave"

My young family and I have lived in Cameron Park for 4 years and love it here. We never had had security issues and find the neighbours friendly and willing to help. The bus stops out in front of our house and there are several shopping centres within 10 minutes. Daycare is an issue but that is Newcastle-wide. Not for young couples as socially there isn't much but definitely recommend to families and retirees.

Great for

  • Safe and sound
  • Great shopping options
  • Neighbourhood spirit

Not great for

  • Lack of daycare

"Not what I was expecting :("

Broken into within 9 months of moving here, next door was broken into twice before it was finished being built. Our other neighbour had their car vandalised soon after moving in. Noisy trail bikes riding up & down the footpaths & roads all weekend & sometimes during the week. P plate hoons flying up the main roads with the doof doof blaring. No medical centres in the area that bulk bill, mosquitos constantly eating you alive in spring & summer. 1 way in & 1 way out.

Great for

  • Great place for hoons & wanna-be Evil Kneivels

Not great for

  • Not safe, lock your doors at all times & have an alarm.
  • Eaten alive by mosquitos

Edgeworth Family Medical next to Pizza Hut bulk bills, as does Glendale Medical Centre. There are two entrances/exits to Northlakes and as for mosquitoes, it's a sub tropical climate with a lot of bush around. Most suburbs in the are are the same. The hoons are annoying but it'll settle down once all the undeveloped land has gone. Not had any security issues where we are, but then I have dogs.
