Reviews of Carabella Street, Kirribilli

"So convenient - a little village within walking distance to the city!"

Carabella Street is a beautiful village haven that is so close to the city.

In Kirribilli we are spoilt for choice when it comes to Public Transport. Hop on the Ferry and you're at Circular Quay in less than 10 minutes. There are also trains and buses and if you need a taxi there is nearly always one not far away.

Here the streets are treelined and beautiful. Being a heritage area the houses and gardens are gorgeous. North Sydney Council does a fabulous job keeping Kirribilli's Streets and Parks beautiful with regular clean ups and maintenance. The roads are a tad on the old/bumpy side but in time I hope these will be improved. Parking can be difficult especially during special events.

The close proximity of Carabella Street to Kirribilli House has its positives and negatives. Security is good as the Federal Police are on full time patrol however, there is sometimes the occassional protest or event (Prince William in town etc) that can cause some congestion. It keeps life interesting though!! Another benefit is the free entertainment - fireworks shows are regular occurances throughout the year especially in summer. The harbour views are spectacular and it's enjoyable just watching the boats sail on by.

If you're a fan of Thai food - you'll never go hungry! The Kirribilli village is now home to four Thai restaurants! If you work late or just don't like cooking, never fear your letterbox will always be bursting with all the latest culinary home delivery options you could possibly desire...

There's so much to do in Kirribilli - enjoy a meal/night out, visit the Ensemble Theatre, take a stroll around the harbour, visit the markets, join an outdoor exercise group in one of the many parks, or cross under the bridge over to Milsons Point and visit Luna Park or take a dip in North Sydney pool.
