Tree change from Sydney

No Macca2 - very little. It takes 15 mins to get from one end of Orange to the other at peak time. Worst case is you are held up for 5 mins outside main secondary school at start and end of school day. A traffic dealy os 15mins while work on completing the bypass was done made first item on the local news it was that rare! A congestion free city!

Orange is increasingly popular for tree change families from Sydney and other parts of Australia.
It has great weather in summer, with a dry heat and little humidity, temp rarely getting above the 30's for more than 2 consecutive days. In the winter it gets colder and June and July days are generally not above 15 at best. Nights it does get below freezing. Snow is found sometimes. However houses generally are better equipped for the cold.
The area is very family friendly with good schools, lots of activities and the knowledge that you can get anywhere in 10 minutes flat - no traffic congestion.
Work is good, but it depends what your skills are. There is lots of skilled employment with the mine, manufacturing with Electrolux and service jobs in hospitality - check online for more
