Looking for a home in Chelsea Heights?

"Family friendly with great facilities"

Chelsea Heights is a family firndly suburb with great homes and large blocks of land. The demographic has certainly changed with lovely young families buying and renovating existing homes. The local shops are filled with great people who are super friendly and chat with locals and go the extra mile with service. Halloween and Christmas are always fun with the locals getting into the spirit and the Food Truck Festival, Carols by Candle Light and the Annual Car Rally are always great events to enjoy at Bicentennial Park - which is walking distance.

"Super handy and peaceful with space to live"

We bought about 6 months ago, it has been the best thing we did. With a huge park, as well as the bay literally minutes away either beach or park for recreation and relaxing. We got land so we also can enjoy time at home without people looking over our yard. Although not a huge amount of options, the takeout is better than the city, it has to be otherwise it would fail right. Heaps of professional services and Aspendale gardens shops is a 5 min drive so we have easy access to major super markets, not to mention a 12min drive to the Springvale market which offers so much value as well as awesome lunch while we are there.
Getting to the city via train or freeway is super easy, now we just drive for 30m mins to the wineries and breweries on the peninsula instead of battling the parking and traffic in the city to eat out for something different.
All and all it's a top place to be! We are stoked, it will only get better with time.

"Chelsea Heights - Family Friendly"

We call Chelsea Heights home and we love it! Walking distance to public transport, beautiful parklands, wetlands and the Beach. Great access to arterial roads such as the Mornington Peninsula Freeway, Eastlink, Nepean Highway and Beach Road. Excellent local schools, serviced by several shopping precincts such as Thames Promenade Shops, Patterson Lakes, Chelsea and Aspendale Gardens Shopping centres.

"A foot in both doors!"

Long time resident in Enterprize Avenue (almost 15 years). Tightly kept pocket and it is a lovely place to call home. The streets are quiet, people keep to themselves, and the parks and rec ensure a healthy balanced lifestyle. 30km's to the city yet minutes from the beach. With the surrounding suburbs (like Aspendale/Edithvale etc) becoming less and less affordable, there has been a noticeable shift in the attention to Chelsea Heights which has previously lived in the shadows of its neighbouring suburbs. Only glaringly obvious downside is the lack of cafe culture. But the welcoming news of the Chelsea Heights shopping Plaza being developed will add another string to the bow. A lovely place to bring up a family.

Great for

  • Not too far from either the city or the Mornington Peninsula
  • Chelsea Heights Shopping Plaza scheduled for development
  • Public Transport, Safety and Parks. Great community Spirit

Not great for

  • Lack of Cafe culture

"Great place to live and to raise kids"

I have lived in Chelsea Heights for almost 4 years now. I love the convenience of the bus stops, the small shopping strip, and the parks and gardens. My neighbours are fantastic and everyone in Chelsea Heights has a sense of community. It has been a well kept secrert about being affordable for a long time, but now the secret is out, and we are seeing lots of new homes and people moving here. Everyone who decides to live in Chelsea Heights has a great sense of community. I love it

"Family-friendly, close to town and a beautiful place to live!"

Chelsea Heights is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 30 km south-east from Melbourne's central business district. Its Local Government Area is the City of Kingston. At the 2006 Census, Chelsea Heights had a population of 5,125.

A fantastic 'secret' of the locals, Chelsea Heights is a family-oriented area full of life, beautiful homes and friendly neighbours. Close proximity and easy access to the glorious beaches of Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne CBD and the holiday areas of the Mornington Peninsula, make this peaceful suburb a great place to live.

Close amenities such as multiple bus routes through the area, public and private schooling, beautiful parks and reserves and all shopping needs along the village strips also make Chelsea Heights a fantastic addition to your investment portfolio.

"A safe, pleasant, established suburb with great access to public transport and recreation"

We have lived in Chelsea Heights now for only 3 months (Quail Close) and are extremely happy. Coming from a congested inner east suburb we are very happy with the relaxed feel of the suburb, friendly locals, access to public transport (bus and train) and lovely open spaces and parks. Chelsea shops are great for smaller things/food and Nepean highway/Southland for more and larger items only 15-20 minutes away. Recreation? Plenty of choice. Nice parks and in 5 minutes we are at Chelsea beach with the Mornington pennisula is not far away either (easy access via Frankston freeway). Eastlink is close by too. Traffic is definitely less than eastern suburbs. Overall, a great place to live.
