Reviews of Clarence Park, SA

"The best about suburbia and right near the city."

Close to town and areas that buzz - Goodwood Rd, King William Rd - while being so peaceful you'd think you were in the country. Winston Ave is up and coming for shopping/cafes etc, while East Ave has cafes and a lovely secondhand bookshop. Woolies, 24 hour groceries, 24 hour gym are all nearby without being in your face.

We wanted somewhere in Adelaide you could live without a car and without being in the city centre and Clarence Park is perfect. We walk to Wayville Market, walk to the Goodwood Rd shopping precinct and KW Rd. But we have a fantastic bus route, in the Go Zone and a train station close to hand.

Meanwhile, we've got the serenity locked up. We walk around the area every day looking at all the wonderful gardens of our neighbours and almost never see a car except parked. You can even see little kids playing cricket on the streets, it's that safe.

Best of all? It's not posh! It's just nice people who love where they live.

Not great for

  • Better shade for bus stops is needed.

"A classy city fringe suburb"

We love living here, lots of beautiful old houses with charm, and alot of leafy wide streets. Everyone around here is respectable and polite. the suburb has a semi-prestigous feel without being pretentious

"Excellent place to Live, Current price are affordable compared to nearby expensive suburbs like Milesworth, Unley park, goodwood, Highgate, Hyde park. Any rent below $500pw is worth."

Very nice, peaceful area. Best place in South of City. Calm and green. Ordinary and not very passion. Good size allotments. Close to City and other places. Not too close to City. Mid-way to Glenelg beach and city and So like to be there.

Great for

  • Improve lighting in the area. Improve telecommunication more

Not great for

  • Old houses are more demanded and nice old homes and structuaraly sound well.

"A Beautiful Suburb to Live In!"

We recently bought our home in Clarence Park, and we are amazed at the beauty that we now live in. A real hidden gem, Clarence Park has the most beautiful leafy green streets, a friends 4 year old son said we live in a rainforest. This suburb is close to great shopping areas. The homes are presented with pride, by the homeowners. A great family friendly suburb, there's a fantastic park on Churchill Ave. Clarence Park has such a safe feel to it, we are so proud to live here!!

Rentals in Clarence Park

"Gorgeous Tree Lined Streets and Beautiful Homes with a Proud and Friendly Community"

Clarence Park is close to the CBD, King William Street, Castle Plaza, Kurralta Park and Unley Shopping centres. The Unley Council is meticulous in providing regular street sweepers, footpaths sweepers and helpful services to ensure Clarence Park maintains it's excellent presentation. The suburb is bursting with pride. It has a friendly (providing you aren't feral) and dignified community with high standards and expectations.

"great location"

What I love about Clarence Park is its location.. Its a really quick trip into the city, or a bike ride, goodwood road have their Saturday morning markets and its a short distance to the Wayville showgrounds for the Adelaide Farmers Market, Adelaide Show, Big Day out etc. Also, its 15 minutes from Glenelg and 20 to West beach, go straight up South Road and your on the right side of town to access all the wineries and great beaches.. Plus, you're near cross roads which you follow up to the Adelaide Hills. It feels likes its no more than 20 minutes to almost everywhere! Great location, lots of lovely houses, and depending on the street some real neighbourly pretty feeling areas. The public transport is excellent too, as are the local schools and lots of local playground and ovals too... What's there to complain about? I think Clarence Park is fantastic = )

"Great location ... if you don't mind a slow death by carbon monoxide poisoning!"

C'mon ... this house is on one of the busiest roads in Adelaide ... during peak hour in the afternoon ... I'm talking bumper to bumper from Greenhill Road ... right up to South Road ...

"A well-serviced suburb near to the CBD - a good spot for renters"

Clarence Park a suburb situated near the major intersection of Cross Road and Anzac Highway, just to the south of Adelaide. Just a 15 minute drive to Glenelg or CBD, both can be easily accessed by frequent buses or the tram line.

Popular with renters, the suburb has a relaxed feel. Some of the homes have undergone major renovations, and others are in need of some work.

There are a few small convenience stores nearby, and the shops and facilities along Anzac Highway are just a quick walk away. The bigger shopping centre of Marion is a 10 minute drive, and the suburban beaches are close by.
