Reviews of Cordalba, QLD

"Quiet, peaceful & safe"

Cordalba is a great place to rear young kids. They can walk safely to the local Primary School. Not really suitable for teenagers, as they would get too bored, lol. No nightlife, no shops, and the nice old historic pub is far too sedate for teenagers. But then no hoons/ troublemakers/ noisy parties. No crime, that we know of, and people don't litter the streets. There's a mix of older style homes/ queenslanders and new homes. Neighbours, in the older area where we live, are very dte, friendly and laid-back. Not trendy/ snobby, lol. Very dog friendly. It's quite cheap to live here too, as house prices are very reasonable and we don't get any water/ sewerage rates, which we love. Our big water tanks are always full, and our total rates are only about $1,000p.a. It's only 10mins to Childers, 30mins to Bundaberg and about 40mins to lovely Woodgate beach. We are retirees, and won't ever leave here, because it's cheap living and we feel totally safe. I must admit though, that it can be a bit too quiet & peaceful for me, lol, but it doesn't bother hubby.

"Quiet country town"

Cordalba is a safe place to bring up your kids, the state primary school in Cordalba is the best in the district, I have know quite a few parents to bypass other schools in surrounding areas to have their children attend. There are plenty of facilities 10 minutes to Childers and only 25 minutes to Bundaburg. The area has a good mix of young families and retired couples It's quiet and very community orientated. The Cordalba hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and you can enjoy a great meal or a quiet drink. Children can ride bikes go for walks to the park and its safe to let them run.
There is no corner store but ist only takes 10 minutes to get to Childers not a big problem if you plan. I have never been woken up by noisy traffic or power tools only the sound of birds.
