Reviews of Crafers, SA

"Crafers is just beautiful."

A beautiful suburb in the Adelaide Hills. Close to Mount Lofty, Cleland Wildlife Park, Belair National Park, and the Heysen Trail. Mostly bushland surrounds but also many European trees which provide lovely autumn colours. Plenty of Kangaroos and Koalas, and only 20 minutes from the city (except in peak hour traffic). Friendly neighborhood, many families & professional couples. Houses can be basic, architect, quirky, or mansions. In summer Crafers is always 4 degrees cooler than the city. Nearest suburb Stirling is about 5 minutes drive away by car and is the closest for supermarkets and banking etc, lost of great little eateries and cafes, boutique clothes shops, books shops, etc. Many community events are held in Stirling, eg monthly markets, tour down under, art & craft fairs as well as the annual community Christmas Pageant. Several good Primary Schools to choose from in the area but only one High School (Heathfield). Lovely area to live in.

"Leafy relaxing spot 15 mins from the city"

Crafers is fantastic, so quiet, leaft and green but yet only 15 mins to the centre of Adelaide. Crafers has wonderful walking trails, beautiful gardens, and a great mix of housing from huge mansions, to cute cottages. The people are friendly and very helpful. There is a great mix of young families and older residents which gives Crafers a real community feel.
