Reviews of Currumbin Valley, QLD

"Quiet, peaceful and spacious. A green semi-rural setting close to great beaches and a short drive to major facilities and transport hubs."

I think the valley is one of the nicest locations in Australia. It is semi-rural and hence peaceful and quite with wildlife surrounding you, and yet it is within a few minutes from major services like shops, hospitals, doctors, gold coast airport and varsity lakes train station. Everyone seems friendly and happy to help our their neighbours. Schools are only a few minutes away and the currumbin creek is a great natural asset.

Great for

  • Peaceful, tranquil, green, open space
  • Friendly
  • Close to great beaches (5 to 15km)

Not great for

  • Need to drive to get to major shops/services
  • Housing in the area is limited and as a result is not that cheap
  • It can get chilly in winter and hot in summer.

"Eco Friendly Heaven"

Currumbin Valley is the beautiful hinterland that overlooks Currumbin Beach and the Pacific Ocean. It's lovely green hills and trees contrast with the sparkling blue of the coast and the temperature is cooler on the whole. Lately eco warriors have created an eco village which harnesses sustainable building and development practices. The village itself has a pool, parks, walking trails and specialty stores. Like minded folk seem happy to chat and it's a friendly place to be. I get the feeling I could quite happily relocate my small family here and be very happy indeed.

It's not near Currumbin Beach, and it does NOT overlook the beach or the ocean. It's in a valley, the coastline can not be seen from there.
