Reviews of Delaneys Creek, QLD

"Stressfree Living"

We have lived happily in Delaney's Creek for over 20years. My children went to Delaney's Creek Primary School and are now at uni as it is an excellent school and a great start for a good chance of higher education. The D'Aguilar Highway from Caboolture to here is much the same as any other highway in Queensland and has speed limits which must be adhered to. The shopping is catered for by Woolworths and IGA Supa Store and other businesses in Woodford. There are cafes, hotels, motels and boutique stores. There is a community spirit in the town of Woodford which reaches the surrounding areas. The Woodford Folk Festival benefits Delaney's Creek for the economy of the district. The Mt Mee Scenic Drive which stretches from Woodford to Dayboro passes through Delaney's Creek because it is a beautifully scenic location with facilities that make it a perfect place to live..

Great for

  • A half hour drive is all it takes to be in a wonderful location with an idylic lifestyle.

Not great for

  • The 90km speed limit makes it much safer now.

Couldn't agree more Roger
The agents can talk it up all they like but it's still a dump
Glad I got out before the prices started falling

I am not an agent. While I've lived here I've seen some people who look as though they could not be happy wherever they lived, but you get that everywhere.

"Desert Island"

If you've ever dreamed of living on a desert island cut off from the rest of the world this is the place for you.
No shops , no public transport ,nothing at all.
Might suit retirees but definately not a place for families or singles.
Decent facilities are half an hour away in Caboolture

Great for

  • Isolation

Not great for

  • Daguilar Highway is a killer

I would like to correct and update these comments. Having lived happily with my family, and my children now at uni and growing up in Delaney's Creek, I can say that the primary school is excellent. There were always buses and now more, going to Caboolture along the D'Aguilar Highway which has no more accidents than any other Queensland highway. Woodford close by has Woolworths and IGA Supa Store for shopping. Facilities include a well equipped and patroned gym, sports community, public hall, cafes, small businesses. Two hotels and more than a few motels, as The Woodford Folk Festival attracts thousands of people every year for that event. D'Aguilar and Delaney's Creek benefit from this tourist attraction as it is in the same local area. The Mt Mee Scenic Drive passes through Delaney's Creek because it has beautiful scenery. It also has the necessary facilities that make it a perfect place to live.
