Beautiful secluded beaches. I love to walk out on the tidal flats (sand) with the little fish and tiny crabs scurrying along with you. Friendly and safe even though quite new estate there is a good mix of families with very young children, teenagers and retirees. There are many community groups that can be joined, with friendly neighbours. Only 6 klm to the centre of town, but we have a local bus service. We have our own shopping complex with supermarket, doctors, chemist and PO agency. Room to move and beautiful gardens and lagoons filled with waterlillies and waterbirds and turtles.

Dundowran Beach is definatly the place to live if you want a bigger than average block, in a quality suburb with excellent neighbours and peace of mind that you and your family are safe at any time of the day. Havging lived in Dundowran Beach for just over 8yrs I must say it is like living in paradise. every night I leave the busy Hervey Bay drive just 10 min down the Toogoom Hervey bay road and turn into this suburb of parks, lagoons and all just a 2min walk form one of the safest and quietest beaches in QLD. Very animal and kid friendly. My elderly Grandfather also loves the area, lots of friendly neighbours who look out form him as he is on his own now. Good schools all with school bus's going direct. If you are going to live in Hervey Bay then Dundowran Beach is the only choice for families, couples and oldies. And all within such close proximity and easy access to the city. It is also a fast growing area with lots of further facilities being considered all the time so re sale is excellent and better than most other suberbs in Hervey Bay.
