"A lot of recent crime"

It is a handy location, close to town and shopping centers but it keeps coming up in crime reports due to the housing commission nearby.

"Riddled with crime"

Neighbouring on M suburbs and other rough suburbs, you get the overflow of crime. Not recommended for anyone unless you are prepared to sacrifice your safety for proximity to the city.

"Just bought a house in Earlville"

We are retiring to Cairns in mid-2022. We have lived and worked in Canberra for over 25 years. We have been eyeing Cairns since we visited it almost 30 years ago and, at the time, thought it would be the ideal place we could retire to. We have been searching for a house in Cairns for about 6 months and finally decided to buy in Earlville. We like the fact that it's a short walk to the Stockland Shopping Centre and 10 minutes' drive to Cairns CBD. We also like the laid-back feel of the place and the general friendliness of the people there.

"A good mix of people"

Earlville has some great old Queenlander type houses, that are really well built.
Its close to the city and boat ramp, great if you have a tinny.
The mix of people is good to. "all sorts"
The young couple, the old couple and the weirdos up the back! what more could you ask for?.

Moved to cairns in December, and we have traveled most of the suburbs looking for our little place to call home. Well, what a little gem Earville is, the area is close to the CBD and the big shopping centre , with lots of love being put back into these beautiful old Queenslanders. We were both very pleasantly impressed with how lovely some of the streets are.
