"Walloon. A nice, quiet, leafy, friendly rural town."
Wallon is a great quiet, leafy, friendly rural town. It is very safe and has a takeaway store, Doctor, Pharmacy and soon to open an express IGA. It has two huge parks, a primary school and an after school care centre. Soon the town will boom with a new estate, much like springfield lakes, under design. Along with the new estate there will be a new high school and a highway conecting the Cunignham and Warrego highways. There is a train station only a short stroll from the main street, thuogh the train only comes on the hour.
West Moreton Anglican College is only a 5 minute drive east and a further 10 minutes on is the Ipswich CBD. It is an 40-60 minute drive to the Brisbane CBD depending on the traffic. To the west is the rural town of Rosewood it only takes a 6 minute drive to get there (Police, Ambulance and Fire are located in the town).
Just 5 minutes south east is RAAF base Amberly.
The town is great for the olderly or a young family. Any property you purchase in the area is likely to be a good investment with solids returns in years to come. The area is also a great rental place.
On the main street is the famous Walloon Salloon.
The town has alot of sun so it is a good place for those who are enviromentaly friendly because you will get great UV expusure for solar pannels.
