Reviews of Fingal, VIC

"Beautiful rural retreat without the isolation"

We moved to Fingal six months ago after discovering this hidden gem. Tucked away behind the golf courses, are beautiful residential communities that are beautifully kept. The quality of housing represents excellent value for money and allows you to live in a modern, functional home and yet enjoy the natural surroundings.
We love that we can go in one direction for just over five minutes and be on a beautiful surf beach but go in the opposite direction for ten minutes and be at a the bay with peaceful, tranquil beaches.
Housing density is low and the beautiful hilly surrounds create a peaceful retreat.
There are no shops - just a few restaurants and cafes - and lots of golf courses.
About half of the township is national park with some of the best hiking trails. There are walking trails absolutely everywhere.

"A stunning and very relaxing location"

This small rural town is set amongst beautiful bushland on the Mornington Peninsula and offers residents and visitors sweeping views across the ocean. A stunning and very relaxing location in southern Victoria, Fingal is an ideal place to get back to nature. Located between Rye, St Andrews Beach, Bass Strait, Boneo and Cape Schanck, Fingal is home to some 450 residents but attracts thousands of tourists every year. There are a number of hotels in the area and its surrounds as well as golf courses, wineries, beaches and national parks. There are plenty of sporting activities available such as horse riding, fishing, boating and golf, and it’s just a 90 minute drive to Melbourne.
