"Safe Suburb to live"

My favorite suburb to live in Gladstone, after living here for over 10 years.

It feels 24h safe, no break-ins like other suburbs in the city.

"Family Friendly Suburb"

Due to its low crime rate, it is probably one of the safest suburbs to live in with a family in Gladstone.

I feel quite safe leaving my kids wandering around my neighbourhood.

Being surrounded by forest and botanical gardens makes it feel peaceful and exclusive.

"Home to Tondoon Botanical Gardens & Gecko Valley Winery!"

Billabong Estate of Glen Eden is great for families and only a short drive to the Kin Kora Shopping Centre or Sunvalley IGA. This part of Glen Eden is quiet and highly sought after. Once you go down the hill towards Gladstone - Benaraby Road, you will find the properties are squeezed in together, so you will get to know your neighbours quite well. In this part of Glen Eden there is a high percentage of investment properties.

Tondoon Botanical Gardens are in Glen Eden. There is a cafe which serves up beautiful food and hot coffee. You can sit on the deck outside overlooking the ponds and enjoy the beautiful array of trees.

Right next to the Botanical Gardens is Gecko Valley Winery - please check out their Facebook page or website for opening hours.

Markets are held regularly - please check the local guide as to when they are held.

"Live in a street in Glen Eden"

Was nice for the first year ,before we had new familys move in now both of the the people next door either side have two dogs each that don't stop barking. The owners of the dogs do absolutely nothing about it. I have never heard them go out and see what there dogs are barking at. There's bags and bags of rubbish overflowing onto our side of the fence because there bins are to full every week. Dirty nappies that end up next to my drive way. Didn't have a bad fly problem this time last year before they moved in (filthy rubbish attracts cockroaches and flys) . It's been a nightmare. The sand flys and mosquitos are horrific during summer. The train tracks are close and the trains are very loud. Thought I would write this review incase the next occumpents can get a heads up so they know what there getting them selfs into.

Rentals in Glen Eden

"Too much money for what it is."

My sister lives here and says it's a dense housing jungle. Each night you get to fall asleep to the magical sounds of V8 wonders hooning the local roads.
You can sure count on unrestful slumbers when you worry about being broken into for the 3rd time and having no reception to call police. Local home owners, pocketed between housing commission, are unfriendly and pretentious, perhaps they should invest in the neighborhood drugs being sold on the local corner to chill out.
If your in a Sunday pickle and ran out of bread, it's a casual into town trip with a much needed fuel stop to return home.
