Golf Parade, Manly, NSW 2095

Manly is getting even better. We have always been spoiled by the sheer beauty of Manly nestled between parks and pristine beaches. The terrible bottle neck of the Spit Bridge while creating transportation issues also means that we don't get huge crowds and the problems that come with it. What I love the best is the barefoot and bikini surfy vibe. While it is a beachy "village", we are finally getting some cool and up-market restaurants, wine bars and some decent shops. Now parking is an issue for visitors but locals just cruise around on the their bikes, the only way to travel! We love living in Manly and the neighbours are great! We had a Christmas street party and everyone looks out for each other. Our great neighbours even baby sat our dog and cat when we went away for a holiday. It does sort of spoil you...the biggest problem with living in Manly is that you don't want to go anywhere else. Friends have to come to you, they usually don't complain. Our kids are older and love the freedom that comes with living here. They find the buses convenient and have no problems getting home. Another bit of good news the big pubs are working hard to turn around the issues that result from a few idiots drinking too much.
