"Up market inner west"
Abbotsford is now an up market inner west waterside suburb, with lots of modern beautiful houses (contrary to review below, housing commissions disappeared 15 years ago, and the mix in housing styles shows a modern growth & revival to a sought after inner west suburb).
Close to ferry and several buses into the city. Very safe community with many restaurants and shops along Great North Road, and many parks & playgrounds. Short drive/bus to Haberfield, Leichhardt Norton St, Burwood Westfield, Drummoyne etc.
