Reviews of Greenwell Point, NSW

"Too far from everything"

Just may work well for pensioners, and elderly people, if assumed safe. Not even in 100 best in the area.

"Forever a Village Vibe"

I grew up in Nowra and moved all through the Shoalhaven in my teens and early 20s (Lived in Greenwell Point, Vincentia, Huskisson, Culburra, Falls Creek, Shoalhaven Heads and Nowra the last 10 years)

If trends are anything to go by, the Shoalhavens original towns and villages will all be engulfed by housing estates.😔

Berry, Vincentia, St George’s Basin/Sanctuary Point, Sussex Inlet are a few examples of where expansion is currently taking place.

Greenwell Point zoned in by agricultural land cannot expand and will remain a peaceful coastal fishing village while others around the area may lose the small town charm

"A Peacful Haven"

Greenwell Point has all the advantages of nearby Nowra (which is a sizable regional area with lots of infrastructure, shops, schools, cafes, hospital and health care etc) without any hassles.
It's a safe and pristine area surrounded by dairy cattle country.
From an investment point of view it's one of the few areas that is zoned in and can't get any bigger. With the upgraded roads bringing Sydney closer to the South Coast Greenwell Point is becoming a sort after village that will retain its charm while the areas around it expand. Beautiful waterways and escarpment views, sensational fishing and a lovely walkway along the waterfront make it a relaxed and very safe place to live. The hotel, a restaurant and cafe, plus a great fish and chip shop on the water provide plenty of dinning opinions. But the standout is the Bowling Club which apart from the Bistro has one if the best Chinese Restaurants in the State!
If you don't already own a place in Greewell Point there will probably be a time soon when you wish you had of purchased one sooner!

"A quiet coastal town with a great community"

Greenwell Point is a quiet, relaxed fishing village 10 minutes from the small South Coast city of Nowra. Famous for its fishing and rock oysters, Greenwell Point is bounded by the intersection of the Shoalhaven and Crookhaven River. A truly picturesque town that has a great community atmosphere.
