Reviews of Gregory River, QLD

"The best of both worlds..."

I've lived in Red Hill for several years now having moved from Melbourne in 2003. I have lived in Petrie Terrace, with my wife in New Farm, Ashgrove and Red Hill. I'm still in Red Hill and needless to say it wins hands down. Highly recommend it for the 20-30's age group as it's close to everything and has fantastic atmosphere. The views are a real bonus too. Community style living close to the CBD and just a short stroll to the Barracks and Lang Park.

Great for

  • Atmosphere, views, and the proximity to everything!

  • Busy (is this a Pro?)

"So close to everything - but quiet enough for families."

Red Hill is so close to the CBD, everything is within walking distance.
The suburb is also relatively quiet.
Serviced well by public transport.
There isn't really anything bad to say about Red Hill!!

Rentals in Gregory River

"History Steeped Hill"

My first introduction to the suburb of Red Hill was my father telling me where his grandfather used to live on Windsor Rd. It seemed strange then that years later I would end up renting exactly the same house when I was at QUT as a student. Full of beautiful colonial and Queenslander houses, Red Hill speaks of old charm and Brisbane's Grand Dame heritage. There are now many young, up and coming families living in the inner city suburb. It's leafy, hilly and catches a nice breeze on those hot Brissy summer afternoons. Sit on the verandah, sip some iced tea and watch the storm roll over the city. This is a lovely suburb.
