"Gunn"

Established in the early 2000’s 23.1km (14 min) from Darwin. 1.6km (1 min) from Palmerston CBD.

Boasting the picturesque Sanctuary lakes with community services, a hill for the kids to cardboard slide down, walking and bike trails through parks, playgrounds, and escarpments. During the dry the Palmerston Council puts on a free sat night FlicNics movie session for all the family.
Due to the abundant opportunities for leisure and physical activities, in the well maintained and stunning surroundings, residents in the area are from all walks of life from retirees, professionals, families to singles.

Residents enjoy proximity to shopping centres and local businesses, ensuring convenient access to retail options and essential services.

Good connectivity through well-established roads and public transport infrastructure facilitates seamless commuting within Gunn and to neighbouring areas.

"party party party"

If you like to party, this is the place. Hoons, thumping stereos, the louder the better! lots of stray dogs and car stereos. Definitely no, look elsewhere.

"Nice Lake and good for single parents"

Lived here for a year and it presents well but the houses and lots are very small. My windows were looking straight into the neighbours bedrooms and could hear them do their business in the morning. The houses are way too close together. On the upside the houses are very cheap to buy and for the budget conscious i think this would tick that box. The lake is nice when the council cleans out the algae. For the single fathers there are lots of single mums that live here but I do not recommend any of the schools near by best to send your children to a school in the Darwin area is if you can. Avoid the streets with tricked up cars because of loud exhausts and booming car stereos

"Darwin Satellite Town"

Palmerston was the original name for the largest city in the Northern Territory, but it was renamed Darwin after Charles Darwin. When a new housing district was established south east of the city along the Stuart Highway, it was named Palmerston. This area is popular with residents who commute to both Darwin, or take the drive to Kakadu National Park for employment. There are several suburbs within Palmerston, with varying levels of comfort and care. There is a well resourced shopping centre that caters to the needs of both residents and travellers.
