"One of the best streets in the area"

I once went on a walk through Hamilton St and thought “I want to live there”! And now happily, we finally got in to this little pocket with young kids. Wide leafy street, plenty of parking. Everything walkable, no car required. 2 x train lines. Both Seddon and Yarraville villages. Friendly community. Fantastic.

"Best street in seddon!"

Very safe, quiet, leafy street. Plenty of parking, all the houses have a heritage overlay which makes the street even more charming. Neighbours are friendly and it’s only a 5 min walk from Seddon Village. Plus only a 4 min drive to Yarraville and 15 min drive to the CBD.

"Friendly village feel close to the city!"

I first moved to Hamilton street over five years ago and liked it so I much I bought a house on the street. The Seddon end is especially leafy and the neighbours are very friendly. Local cafes and restaurants frequently feature in the Age and the local parks are nice and well kept. Getting to the city by train takes about 10 mins and there's a really good cycle path that takes you all the way into Southbank.

"great spot, quiet street, everything's withing walking distance"

I rented in Hamilton Street from 1996-2001, and have been through it many times since, and it's a great place for just about anybody to live. Quiet street, a variety of periods and styles, and the convenience of 4 train stations, 3 shopping strips, 1 large shopping centre and many bus routes within 10-15 minutes walk. Neighbours were friendly, and you see the same faces at the local shops all the time. The Seddon shopping strip caters for most things (although the little supermarket isn't great), and public transport can get you to the city within 30 minutes inclusive of walking.

Assume this is an older review as the current supermarkets are wonderful and both have new owners in the last few years, thank goodness! (2023 comment)

"what a beautiful street"

A wide tree lined street,, especially the Seddon end. Hamilton street feels like living in the country but with all the fabulous things the inner west offers. Seddon and Yarraville villages are very close and it there is a genuine mix of singles, families and older residents. Protected by a Heritage Overlay Hamilton street has an excellent streetscape and is very quiet. The street commands understandably high prices however it still presents excellent value given its amenity.
