Hampton park is a great suburb ,friendly people center to everything ,big shopping fountain gate few minutes drive ,lynbrook village and Hampton park shopping center nearby.

Friendly people and a quiet town to live in Hampton park

I have everything I need in this little hidden Gem. Great facilities at an affordable price. You name anything you have got it. I would recommend anyone with children to move here as the place is very family friendly. Not overly cogested like Narre or Dandi. Still accessible all those facilities. I like the blend of various cultures here. The shopping center is bit rundown. Once council's redevelopment plans are completed the property prices will jump over the roof. I would suggest anyone to move now & benefit Shildon the prices are still affordable.

Lived here for more than 4 years, Absolutely love it. Great little shopping centre. culturally mixed population. Fountain gate, Dandenong and everything else very close by. Has a lot of access points to freeways. Good schools. Has a few people with loud cars but i guess every suburb does. Nice little area.

An all round great place to live. Close to all the major roads and rail transport. Plenty of good Schools close by. Only a few minutes from Cranbourne, Fountain Gate and Dandenong. I love it here.

I was first home buyer when I moved in Hampton Park. The reason I bought from here four years ago was simply because it was affordable. You rarely hear anything about Hampton Park but it has quietly changed and improved so much. The longer I live here the more I love it! I live on a nice and quiet Court with very friendly neighbours which I always feel grateful for. It takes me 10 mins walk to Hallam train station. 1min to bus stop and 5mins drive to Aldi, Coles or Woolworth. 10 mins to fountain gate shopping centre. We have nice local shops and café to go to, many school options and easy access to freeways. I am a single female professional and haven't had one moment feeling unsafe here. There were times that I forgot to lock my house door and went to work for a whole day, or parked my car at the front and left the car window completely open. nothing ever happened. of course I told myself not to do it again... The house price has increased a lot but still reasonable compare to some other suburbs and definitely having heaps more potential to grow.

Hampton Park is well positioned between the vast network of Melbourne's Freeway system, making it easier to drive direct to City (then to west), South East, East and even north. It is very well serviced by good transport options (both trains and buses), surrounded by great shopping/restaurant choices (Hampton Park Shopping center, Westfield Fountain Gate, Lynbrook Village, Dandenong CBD etc), has many great schools and also has many bulk billing options. With lots of subdivisions and new projects happening within the suburb, i am sure soon it will be one of the sought after suburb.

I really enjoy the life here at Hampton Park. Been here for just over 14 months and loving it. Access to shopping centres and freeway is so good. I'm a corporate professional and would continue living here as I feel home

Lived here for 7 years now, have seen a great shift on how Hampton Park is shaping out to be. Lot of school options, ranging from catholic to public schools. Health care facility right outside your door step, including a vet, a large grocery store (Coles, Safeway), and houses are quiet spacious. A lot of construction is being undertaken to expand the roads and give the place a more "green and lively" feel.
There are problems though. These include extremely high amounts of domestic violence, house break ins, substance abuse, and reckless drivers. For some reason, house break ins have increased dramatically, so far 6 have occurred in my street this year. The population here is of diverse cultures, making it easy to settle in. Age bracket in Hampton Park is towards the younger spectrum, which explains the high amounts of reckless hooligans in their ugly turbo charged cars. You will see a-lot of people who rely heavily on the welfare system here, due to the lower socioeconomic status of the area.

Hampton Park is well positioned between Dandenong CBD and Fountain Gait - Narre Warren CBD. In demand with lots of new residential developments happening and is still affordable for first home buyers.
- Only 35 minutes drives (off peak) to Melbourne CBD or you can take a 50-55 minutes train ride from Hallam, Lynbrook or Narre Warren stations.
- The under-construction sky rail on Dandenong rail corridor will definitely improve the efficiency and boost the capacity of the entire rail corridor.
- Surrounded by two major freeways and two major highway systems, and also has many major artirial roads
- It has a Great Bus network connecting all transport and activity centers in the vicinity and across
- Local Hampton Park Shopping Center has all of your daily needs
- The Major Westfield Fountain Gate Shopping Center (Australia's second largest) is also close by
- Has many Bulk Billing Medical Center within the Suburb
- Has 5 Primary Schools and 1 Secondary Schools, and many child care centers
- Not far from the country side and very close to Mornington Penninsula and Gippsland regions
- Have choice of many beaches along Port Philip Bay (only 20-30 minutes drive, depending on the beach)

The only negative feedback I would give is that some of its road needs upgrading to cope with the increasing traffic.

I was the first home buyer and for the last 4 years i found it fantastic. close to Monash fwy, Princes hwy and SouthGippy fwy. Hallam and Narre warren and lynbrook train stations are 3-4 km's away.

Another Preference to live in Melbourne. This suburb has it all! There is Supermarkets, Fast Foods, Lots of Parks, Schools & is close to Narre Warren!

Good Stuff:
1. Next to new developing CBD - Dandenong.
2. Easily accessable public transport- Hallam & Lynbrook railway station; Train takes 50 min from Hallam to Flinders Street. Easy access to Monash freeway which takes 45 min to city. Public Buses 892,893,894,895 running all day till 9pm. All duplication of Hallam road in 2012.
3. Five scools, 1 secondary colleage, numerous childcare centres.
4. Numerous Bulk billing medical centres, choice of Dandenong or Casey public hospital.
5. Hampton park shopping centre with Coles,Safeway, local butcher,fruit & veggies shops, Dominos , Uncle bucks 2 dollar shop and many asian groceries shops,... truely multicultural shopping centre which is always busy.
6. Public Library.
7. Dandenong Ranges close by & Philip Island only about 90 kms, wow can go there every weekend.
8. Friendly multicural people.
What more will you ask for?

Bad Stuff:
1. Bit neglected by council, more parks needed and some roads need upgradation.
2. Toilets & more parking spaces needed at Hallam Station.
3. Hoon Drivers, young careless drivers.
4. Night life.

Best kept secret in the Southeast, 5 primary schools and a secondary college! So anywhere you live, kids can walk to school. Affordable to buy and rent. Multicultural residents mostly with familes. Easier access to Freeway now that Pound Road exit is upgraded, duplication of Hallam Road coming in 2012!

Hampton Park is a suburb in south east with increasing demand. It has good public transport with Hallam station and also new Lynbrook station coming up, buses are available till 9pm. Its a very good place for families with lots of childcare and schools. Hampton park shopping centre is always busy and there are also bulk billing medical centres. Hampton park is multicultural with people of all parts of the world UK, Aussies, Sri Lanka, India, China, Middle east, NZ, and many European countries and South east Asian countries.
Also now there is an upgrade underway to Hallam south road which will control peak hour traffic.Only concern is you have to look out for hoon drivers.

Hampton Park is very good suburb to live for families. It is close to public schools, shopping centre and transportation is good excluding peak hours. The only concern is hoon drivers who can be dangerous at times. Overall nice place to live

A quiet suburb in close proximity to Dandenong and Fountain Gate Shopping Centre. Good amenities with good transport options via bus or train at Hallam Station. It is on the doorstep of Gippsland and an hours drive from Phillip Island and the Mornington Peninsula.There is good access to freeways and major highways. A 45 minute commute into the city via train during peak hour

It has a newly expanded library and a state of the art Performing Arts Centre at River Gum Primary School that can seat 500 people. There is good quality housing that suits a wide variety of tastes and prices and with lots of open spaces you will never feel hemmed in by suburbia here.
