Reviews of Hazelwood Park, SA

"Heart of Hazelwood Park"

Hazelwood Park offers a great upbringing, lifestyle & location. My Friday night usually consists of a family meal at Fasta Pasta. Half price pizza night at the Place Next Door on Tuesdays is a good one too. A hidden gem is the BBQ and tennis court facilities hidden for the locals in Cowan Lane.
Most nights we go for a family stroll down to Hazelwood Park with plenty of space for Teddy (cavoodle) to run and my son loves the new playground. If it's over 34* degrees the the swimming pool, spa and sauna facilities stay open late.

Great for

  • 10 minutes to CBD
  • 2 minutes to Burnside Village
  • Awesome facilities

Not great for

  • Greenhill Road is a nightmare when Clipsal 500 is on
  • Roadworks on Glynburn Road but fixed now

"Grand homes in a green area"

I had a friend live here and it is a top place. One of the best in Adelaide. There is a large park in Hazelwood Park and a public pool making it very appealing. Add to that the wide streets, beautiful old houses and large blocks and this makes for one of the best suburbs in Adelaide.

The streets are quiet and you don’t hear a lot of dogs barking at night.

Public transport isn’t too bad but its not as well serviced as some other areas. It is a fair way up Greenhill Road as well so despite being reasonably close to the city it is further than you think. But in terms of location, this is one of the prettiest suburbs.

"A suburb of grand homes and big gardens in the foothills"

Leafy Hazelwood Park is a lovely suburb, set in the foothills just 15 minutes from the Adelaide CBD.
This suburb is full of grand and spacious homes with large gardens, along with the occasional complex of 1960s style units. Owning in this suburb is quite expensive, but renting is quite reasonable.

There are lots of facilities surrounding the Greenhill Road/Glynburn Road intersection. There is a major complex with a Good Life gym, physiotherapist, beautician and Fasta Pasta. There is also the Feathers Hotel, an Eastern suburbs institution, with a popular pub and pizza place.

Burnside Village is just a 5 minute drive away, with its huge range of shops, gourmet delights and cafés.

Transport links to Adelaide are good from here, with frequent buses along a couple of different routes which take around 40 minutes or so.
