Holt, ACT 2615

Me and my wife bought our first house in the affordable suburb of Holt, and we’ve had two kids. It’s not too bad here, there are a few morons driving stupid cars around still, but everyone is really friendly and gets along! The suburb also has the best local shopping centre in Canberra with a Woolies and an Aldi, medical centres, a public library that’s actually open, playgrounds, barbers, the Raiders club and a golf course! Why would you ever leave?

Holt is a stunning little suburb situated on the west of Belconnen, abounded by rolling hills and views of the Brindabella Ranges.

People love living there because Holt is well and truly established and predominately owner occupied by house proud couples. The trees are plentiful and this provides for that leafy street appeal and shady summer days. The block sizes in Holt are also a little more generous than surrounding suburbs and this makes the area attractive to families and gardeners alike.

If you are keen on a jog or walking the pup, there are loads of bush walks within minutes and the low traffic levels make it easy to get about. Kippax shops are only a 2 minute drive and has an Aldi + Woolworths, Gym, Bottle Shop, Pizza Hut and MacDonalds + loads of services located in the shopping village.

12 minutes is all it will take from you garage to parking spot Belconnen Mall with minimal traffic lights on the trip making Holt a really convenient and accessible suburb.

Holt is located 12 kms north west of the city. It adjoins both open pastureland and the bush. It is a tranquil area not far from both the Molongolo River and the Ginninderra Falls. It is a great place to raise a family with plenty of shoppping facilities and other amenities as well as an abundance of both playgrounds and parks to enjoy.
