Morkalla and the Millewa district has long been renowned and recognised as a prime cereal cropping and mixed farming region of the north-western Mallee region of Victoria.
The original allotments were purchased and cleared by the Gray family in 1927, which has now grown and developed into its present scale and diversity. The enterprise is currently family owned and operated by Geoff and Julie Gray.
This well-improved and maintained aggregation is being offered for sale as a complete property asset, comprising approximately 3,192 hectares (7,887acres) spanning across two freehold crown allotments on one certificate of title.
The aggregation provides all the essential elements of scale, versatility, operational efficiencies, fertile soils and an idyllic climate. Strategically located to the supporting service towns of Renmark (50km), Loxton (78km), Mildura (110km), Adelaide (314km).
Main access and frontage is via Morkalla North road, the homestead being only 9km to the intersection with the Sturt Highway. The Bureau of Meteorology rainfall mapping indicates that the property aggregation is located in an area with an annual rainfall range of between 200mm and 300mm
