Reviews of Innes Park, QLD

"Paradise - which reminds me of beach holidays as a child."

We moved here 8 years ago. Innes Park is as close to paradise as we have ever found. We live close to the ocean and the inlet where the kids swim during the warmer months. The locals really care about each other and look out for your kids. After dinner each night we sit on the front veranda and listen to the sound of waves, it is a peaceful suburb with a real community spirit. I would also like to respond to a previous lone comment about sandflies to which I am allergic; I think you have mistaken Innes Park for somewhere else.

"Where else would you want to be?"

Perfect weather all year round, close enough to Bundaberg CBD but far enough away too. Sandy quiet beach. Where else can you live on acreage this close to the ocean?

"Tranquil countryside near the ocean"

What a lovely area! We bought in the only small acreage estate in the area so have the country advantage yet 4 mins to the ocean. We love it, peaceful & quiet, gorgeous fertile land for growing things. We have had no problem with mossie or sandflies- maybe thats if you are close to the inlet or drains in the area? Its wonderful for families, lovely big blocks & not far to schools & shops.

"Great Place to bring up children"

I have lived in Innes Park for eight years, and I have to strongly disagree with another persons comment about sandflies and mosquitos. I have never found it a problem here, I guess it could depend which part of Innes Park you live, but it has never been a problem for my family or friends living in Innes Park North.
I think this area is fantastic for children its not to busy with traffic and very safe for familys, close to the childcare centre. Five minutes from shops. Easy acess to all the schools in the area via the school buses. Very short walk to the beach very easy going and relaxed lifestyle living in Innes Park.. I would recommend this area to anyone who is thinking of moving here and does not know the area.

Rentals in Innes Park

"It's a sandfly and mosquito nightmare"

I have lived at Innes Park once .....yeah never again, they just don't make a sandfly and mossie spray strong enough. Any one that tells you otherwise has never lived there.
Innes park is where all the sandflies breed.
It's a great place to live if you don't go outside especially at night.

"A relaxed coastal community"

Innes Park is a relaxed coastal community situated approx 12 kms from Bundaberg and 10kms south of Bargara. It is an ideal location to raise a family or enjoy your retirement. 10 hectares of parkland situated on the ocean front and creek mouth provide playgrounds, bbqs, shelter sheds and swimming. Coastal pathways provide great walking opportunities. There are three golf courses within a 5 minute drive and great diving/snorkelling at Barolin Rocks only 5 minutes walk to the south. A local shop in Innes Park provides essentials and Foodworks at Coral Cove is only a few minutes by car.

"New homes and subdivision put in recently..."

Excellent for diving, fishing and snorkeling at Barolin Rock. Has it's own shopping centre with Foodworks supermarket close by. Schools also close.

Not sure how old this thread is, how about an update 2019', emphasising the bit about sand flies and infrastructure.
