"Convenient central hub"

Working within Kirrawee has made me truely understand exactly what is on offer. Between the vast cafes, shops and restaurants on Oak Road, to the shopping precinct that South Village has to offer Kirrawee is a truely diverse suburb. With easy access to public transport with Bus stops on the Princes Highway and the train station right off the main drag it is very easy to get around. Coupled with a mix of commercial businesses in the area Kirrawee truely has the ability to service many needs.

Looking for a home in Kirrawee?

"Kirrawee has come a long way....."

I've been living in Kirrawee for the past 15 years. back in early 2000's it was a suburb that most people never heard of, very quiet & sleepy. These days (as of 2021) it is still relatively unknown but has become quiet desirable place to live (at least in my opinion). Great neighbours & community spirits. A very good high school too. The only downside is the traffic, it is getting worst by day especially on the corner of President ave & Oak road, but that's about it really and it's the same with anywhere with new developments in Sydney. Kirrawee is also close to everything. Overall this is a very good suburb that doesn't get too crowded

"Gem of the Shire"

Real up and coming heart of the shire. Has heaps of new restaurants, shops and parks. Train station upgraded not long ago. South village has everything you need in one place.
They also just redid the fairy lights in the Main Street which look great at night.
Good schools. Safe area. Not far from the beach. Can’t go wrong.

"A nice place to raise your family"

We moved in to the neighbourhood back in 2015 as a young family and have loved everything the area has to offer. Plenty of space for everyone and you can go for a nice walk for hours. People are generally more nice & friendly comparing with the other part of Sydney where we used to live (that is Hurstville if you need to ask). Kirrawee town centre is pretty much non-existent but that soon may change when the new development at the Kirrawee's Brick pit is completed but we would still much prefer the atmosphere of Gymea village which is still in walking proximity.
Plenty of outdoor activities (short distant to both Royal National Park & Cronulla beach), choices of schools, great medical centres...yes this is a good place to raise your family. Racism is probably still there (we were shouted "effing Asian" by a bunch of douchebags teens driving pass once...but that's about it). We have noticed number of Asian families have moved into the area so people seem to learn to accept the reality. The area is very safe & clean). We would certainly recommend Kirrawee to young families.

"Soon to be the Hub of the Sutherland Shire"

Kirrawee is slowly being transformed as the hub of the Sutherland Shire.
South Village will see excellent shopping facilities, amazing restaurants and a wonderful parkland.
The Pub is currently under construction on the corner of bath Rd and Princes Highway and will become the place to hang out.
Kirrawee High School is highly sought after for families.
My favourite restaurant- Moaim
My favourite coffee- Quick Shot Cafe

"Very little known gem south of the city, just love it!"

As a recently married couple we have bought a fantastic affordable house in kirrawee south. The area is quiet, family friendly, close to great restaurants in gymea and kirrawee and with easy access to trains into the city.

"Good to bring up children...costs a lot but worth it , if you can bypass the social snobs!"

Nice, clean, great High School, lots of snobs, more average Joes though, which will hopefully keep the snobs In Place!!!!

"I'm glad I moved here!"

We had been living in Coogee and Randwick for the past 10 years, when the little girl came along it was time to upgrade form a unit to a house and we spent a lot of time looking. We ended up in Kirrawee overlooking the national park and what a great move it has been. the neighbours are friendly, the streets are quiet, the traffic getting to and from work (Eastern suburbs) is much better than I expected, beaches and rivers are still close and we have so much more room to move.

If you are thinking about upgrading I can highly recommend Kirrawee.

Hi there we are thinking of moving with family from randwick ! We lost out on a stunning property in Como and jannali prices seem to be hiked up! Kirawee seems a bit more "reasonable" , someone mentioned the over head power lines thou ! Any streets we should avoid? Thanks Natalie

We are a young family looking to buy in Kirawee from Randwick. Visited Kirrrawee and Gymea at the weekend and looks really nice. Gymea village reminds with of the spot. Any other info on Kirrawee would be appreciated :)

There are 2 distinct sections of Kirrawee basically north and south of the Hwy. The north side has the industrial areas surrounded by the quiet residential areas whilst the South is all quiet residential. Streets such as Gore Ave back onto the Royal National Park and are extremely quiet. The south side is also where Kirrawee high is locate. Areas in the north of Kirrawee may not be in the Kirrawee High catchment area.
Another Gem area in Grays Point where you can get a waterfront house for under 2mil

Kirrawee is the best kept secret in Sydney! Just minutes to pristine crystal clear beaches at the World Heritage Listed Royal National Park and the new 'Pub' restaurant and Kirrawee restaurants and cafes where the food is second to none. Fast reliable train service to everything Sydney has to offer AND YOU GET A SEAT ALL THE WAY IN ADDITION TO SCENIC WATER VIEWS ALONG THE WAY TO THE CBD. All for around the median price in Sydney of 1 million dollars. Even the local Kirrawee High School is so nice and staff and students so nice that it beats any private school in the area AND. ... Shhhhhhh .... IT IS ABSOLUTELY FREE! Why would you live anywhere else in Sydney. YOU ARE SO LUCKY TO READ THIS BUT DONT TELL ANYONE ELSE!!!!!!
