Reviews of Kooralbyn, QLD

"Quiet friendly"

Moved out here to have some acreage and peace and quiet from living on a main road.Best decision I EVER MADE.
People are so friendly, cute kangaroo joeys, wildlife stunning.Great value, yes you have to drive to the shops but I commute so grab it on the way home. Apart from roadworks traffic its a easy peaceful drive none of that bumper to bumper crap from the M1, lovely people who will leave you alone if you wish or happy to socialize. You have to make some sacrifices to live out here e.g. no pizza delivery, white goods cost quite alot to be delivered, but it's truly worth it,Kooralbyn is a Gem!

Looking for a home in Kooralbyn?

"A small friendly town, peacefull quite, lots of wildlife and only just over one hour away from Brisbane + town water"

Kooralbyn is a beautifull small friendly town with great potential, State of the art golf-course, local famous school (TKIS), shopping centre etc; etc;

Great for

  • Being far away enough from the rat race and yet close enough Kooralbyn has always attracted certain people with a passion for a particular lifestyle.....
  • If anyone decides to build a home, I personally recommend Franklin Constructions in Beaudesert.....

"Escape from the rat race"

We escaped the mind numbing hustle and bustle of the Sunshine Coast a few years back to live in Kooralbyn. Building here is a nightmare, made worse by builders who feel if they pass a few cows and aren't within a kilometre of Macca's, they're 'all the way out here!'. They charge accordingly, and many refuse outright to build out here at all. This will change. I remember a time when Kenilworth and Beerwah were considered the back of the boonies too...
With new council building codes and DA approvals needed to build, my advice would be to buy an existing property in Kooralbyn and make it your own. Ripping up carpet, painting etc is much cheaper than building out here.
Having said that. It's worth the fight in the long run if you do. Kooralbyn is beautiful. The wildlife is fabulous and good for the soul for those who appreciate the quieter, unique things in life. We could do with a police station as the level of teenage and/or 'redneck' mischief has increased, although it's still much better than the city and generally quiet.
My husband drives into Slacks Creek to work every day, which is quite an easy drive and just under an hour. The cost to do so isn't great, but he'd prefer that and escape to our little spot than live close to work. It's a lifestyle choice and the lifestyle is pretty good here, depending on what you're looking for. There are Community Groups who host events for those who want social interaction and there is always the choice of spending time on your own larger size block, communing with nature and keeping very much to yourself in a lovely spot in S.E.Queensland.

"A Top Neighborhood Waiting?"

Is kooralbyn the next Top Neighborhood waiting in the wings for people to find out what a fantastic little place it is?

Many people don't realise that Kooralbyn even exists really, and just why is that, well it's the age old problem this place has always had, right from the very early days of Kooralbyn there was never enough publicity, and here's the key, the natural beauty of the place speaks for itself, so when you find out about this place tell everyone you know about it..

Property is very reasonably priced but it won't always be that way, yes it, may go up and down but as with all realestate it will rise, so why don't you buy out here now? The perception is that Kooralbyn is a long way out, my question is from were?

You don't mind spending an hour or more in the car crawling along the road to work so why not spend some of that time drive along at a reasonable pace on free flowing roads and less time being frustrated sitting in that terrible city traffic on the so called freeway.

The bottom line is that you can have it all and for many sooner rather than later, make sure you check Kooralbyn out, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

"Views Fantastico on the High Side of Kooralbyn"

Have you ever been to Kooralbyn just South of Beaudesert, Queensland? If not make sure you get yourself out there and take a drive up Brookes Drive all the way to the top and make sure you more than just pause at the scenic lookout, the views of the Scenic Rim National Park are more than worth the effort, especially if you happen to strike it on a crystal clear day.

Several years ago we took a drive out to Kooralbyn and was awe struck by the majesty of the place especially from the scenic lookout, so we bought a property just down the road, since then we have been trying to build out in Kooralbyn but due to circumstances far beyond our control we now have no choice but to sell our dream block and move on to other pastures.

You can find the property listed on www.realestate.com.au/2749041 or www.yourestate.com.au/17976. Brookes drive is fantastic for anyone looking for peace of mind, tranquility and solitude away from the mad rushing crowds of the big smoke. Go ahead pay Brookes drive Kooralbyn a visit you won't regret it.

"Lowest cost land in SEQ - Nice Surroundings"

Kooralbyn is popular due to the low cost of the land. A proposed road to Boonah could significantly raise the value of the land and homes in Kooralbyn (when complete will be a very short drive to Boonah, a lovely town with great restaraunts and shopping, something Kooralbyn lacks)
Work wise, Kooralbyn is a great place to live if you work from home, or do computer based work. If you are looking at commuting, you may find the travel to Brisbane or Gold Coast a bit too much.
For us retirees, well we love it. We sold our home at the Gold Coast and built a new home here with GJ Gardners. It is so quiet and peaceful compared to the constant road noise and activity at the Gold Coast. There are plenty of us out here, so socializing is great! The golf course is available even though the resort is not currently operating.

"Kooralbyn - Ideal place to buy property now."

Kooralbyn is a town situated on the Scenic Rim in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Meaning the Place of the Copperhead Snake, Kooralbyn is 22kms from Beaudesert. Kooralbyn is well known for its Golf Resort but the town offers lakes, swimming pool, skydiving, bowls and equestrian events. Accommodation is available at the resort or one of the motels or caravan parks nearby. Close to so many major towns your choice of shopping locations is up to personal preference with good shopping at the Billabong Centre at Kooralbyn. Home prices at stable at present but with new developments set to begin these prices will rise significantly in the near future.
