Reviews of Lachlan, TAS

"Paradise"

Have owned a property in Lachlan for over six years. Its home. Locals are wonderful, warm and inviting. Lifestyle is just magic. Our house is on ten rolling acres with mountain views. Where else can you run a few sheep, some chooks, kids can play safely, yet get into town in seven minutes. And when we need a city fix, Hobart is 35mins away. Check it out for yourselves.

"MtLloyd, a little piece of heaven!!"

MtLloyd, forget the hustle bustle, relax. Listen to the birds not sirens and traffic. Only 10mins from NewNorfolk and 30mins to Hobart City. Talk about the best of both worlds here. We have no crime or drugs here, just friendly happy people enjoying life. House prices (with good size land) very very cheap, you can buy a house and not drown in debt. I will never move from here.

"Sleepy little money maker!!!"

Lachlan is only a 40-45 minutes drive to the Hobart CBD and in 20-25 minutes, you could be at the northern suburbs. New Norfolk, it's nearest service town, is fast becoming a satellite "city" and prices are on the up. Woolworths is a good sign of things to come and Lachlan is only 5-8 minutes away. Rolling hills, mountain, valley and river views from most spots, it's an undervalued bargain. Saying this, the council needs to start developing roads, as many are still only all weather dirt/gravel. Power is spreading and most acreages now have access, but be sure to check. Houses are older non reno-ed, or 80s brick or very new, a mix if you will.
