Mountain Lake Park is very much part of the Lake Street neighborhood and it is gorgeous! It is one of the nicest parks in the city. There are little parks tucked into the blocks just south of Lake Street, like Richmond Playground (needs to be remodeled) and Rochambeau Playground, which was recently renovated.

Lake, San Francisco is just to the south of the Presidio, so there is a big green space just to the north. Kids would probably love that spot.
