Reviews of Lawrence Hargrave Dr, Stanwell Tops

"Love it...!!!"

Went to Clifton last weekend to see a photography exhibition of some local talent at the Clifton school of arts. Great exhibition but it turns out the school of arts is actually owned / managed by the local residents, how cool...!!! I really love the place; it certainly has amazing coastal views with a great sense of community. I’m sure Clifton will become the cultural hub of the south coast if it continues the way its headed.

"Awesome views and community feel"

Awesome views of the pacific ocean & escarprment in every directions, great community feel with public transport, schools & shops all near-by. Its fast becoming the new up and comer of the northern suburbs. Nothing better than having a coffee looking the amazing views. Traffic in summer on the weekend can be a bit hectic but they are all day trippers stopping to enjoy what we have.

Lawrence Hargrave turns off the old Princes H/way just south of Helensburgh. You turn there is you want to visit Symbio wildlife park, absail off Bald Hill, or drive across the Sea Cliff Bridge.

Clifton not more 'adjacent' to Darkes Forest unless you look on a map and see how the crow would fly.

Regrettably the crow would have to drive a vehicle [or walk] from Darkes Forest via the old Princes H/way and Lawrence Hargrave Drive via Helensburgh, Bald Hill, Stanwell Park and Coalcliff to get to Clifton.

Whose idea was it?

Ocean1

Not sure what Fergie was trying to express to readers with here comments...
Clifton is about 6km south of Stanwell Park and starts at the southern end of the Sea Cliff Bridge and extends south along Lawrence Hargrave Drive towards Scarborough. Its little suburb that sits perfectly on the cliff edge over looking the ocean to the east and the escarpment to the west.

Clifton is no more adjacent to Darkes Forest than Helensburgh! unless as the crow flies!

Ocean 1's comment was in the DARKES FOREST section.

L/H Dr Clifton is no more adjacent to Darkes Forest than Helensburgh!Unless you look on a map - it is not far as the crow flies ...

WCC sometimes uses maps instsead of commonse. They used to include Darkes Forest in the N/hood group which met at Coledale! instead of the one at Helensburgh, just down the road.
