Reviews of Little Bourke St, Melbourne (CBD)
"Right in the middle of Chinatown"
Have stayed in a hotel here in the eastern end several times and find that it is very central and lively. The western end is a business area and is much quieter. If you are a fan of Chinese food (and who isn't) as well as culture then the area is well recommended. Transport is excellent with the underground close by and the trams less than a minutes walk.

Looking for a home in Little Bourke St?
"Inner City Location"
Slicing right through the heart of Melbourne city, Little Bourke Street is definately in the centre of things.
The eastern end is dominated by China Town and tends to have a 24 hour feel about it, with all the amenity (and noise) that goes with it.
The western end (in the legal district) is queiter, with the exception of the King St area. This means that there aren't many shops and restaurants open after hours, in fact it can get very quiet some evenings down here.
Commuting to work is a non-issue if you work in town, or walking to the train station is also very easy.
Being the CBD, there are plenty of great quality shops, gyms and restaurants nearby.
If you're wanting to be in the centre of it all and not have to worry about commuting, this might well be your ideal place to live.
