Thinking about uprooting and moving to gisbourne, any pros or cons?

I will have to travel 30 minutes to do school run everyday. So I will have to weigh that up.

Wanting a more relaxed and semi rural life style.
I'm a little bit worried about fires in the summer and being so far from a hospital.

Do residents get cheaper car rego being semi rural?

I just moved here a year ago from North Balwyn. LOVE IT. good close community and relaxed friendly locals. Nothing like the city. I grew up in kew and for all the bells and whistles I wouldn't call the city the friendliest or safest place. You don't know your neighbours there like you do here. Gisborne. The hidden gem. Move. Now.

It’s a great place to live, particularly for a family. There’s 2 medical centres, as well as one major hospital in Kyneton (25 mins away), Sunshine (half an hour) and Bacchus Marsh (25 mins). House proves are increasing by the month though, rego is cheaper :)

I wouldn't call Kyneton Hospital major, they turn you away if your suffering asthma and send you back to the city.

Hi BobJ3,
As far as I'm aware it is slightly cheaper being considered a 'low risk zone'. I don't think its a huge difference but every bit counts :)
