"Large allotments, convenient location, beautiful plane trees"
Manning Road starts at Finch Street in the Gascoigne Estate. There, large allotments (many exceeding 1,000 sqm) contain beautiful Federation Homes dating from the original 1880s subdivision. Large trees of similar age beautifully shade the street - a postcard image of Melbourne.
Across Burke Road, newer luxury homes mix with the traditional styles including Edwardian, California Bungalow and interwar.
The vast majority of dwellings on the street are houses (rather than units or townhouses) and are occupied by owner-occupiers (rather than tenants).
These homes come with a high price, with most sales in the $2m - $5m range. The top reported sale price on the street is $6.1m, but other homes might exceed that level if offered to the market.
