"Collinswood convient to everything!"

I have lived in Collinswood for 9 years and in this time my car rarely leaves the garage! I walk or ride my bike to my workplace in the city. If I don't then the buses to the city and also Tea Tree Plaza are every 15mins! Prospect Rd and O'connell St shops and Cafes are within a nice walking distance as are Sefton Plaza and Northpark Shopping Centres. The same goes for Nightlife, walk or catch a bus then eat and be merry and catch a cab home! It's cheap to do so. You cross North East Rd and you are in Walkerville, cross Nottage Tce and you in Medindie. There are many Primary Schools in Walkerville and Prospect, public and private. Collinswood shops have everything you need except a Doctor's surgery but in an emergency you are very close to the Royal Adelaide Hospital!

Collinswood is in such a good position that it's hard to over capitalise. Big blocks of land that will only go up in price in the years to come. I really enjoy living in my suburb.

"A bit of everything for everyone"

Collinswood is a mixed bag for me. Close to the city and well established this should be one of the premier suburbs of Adelaide but to me it falls down a bit. Perhaps it is the ABC building, perhaps it is the units or perhaps it’s the streets themselves. Don't get me wrong, I would love to live here and know people that do and it is lovely. It’s quiet, close to the city and has some lovely houses. But there are a few places in Collinswood that seem to bring the rest of the suburb down.

Transport is easy with buses along Northeast road but if you're energetic you could easily walk to Adelaide city or North Adelaide for a meal or a night out.

Prices in Collinswood would now be out of reach for all but a few, but for me if you have that much to spend I think there are probably better places to go. If you want to buy here you could easily build yourself a quiet little oasis, one that is well sought after, including by me.

A great spot but I'm not sure...
