"has verything"

Marion has everything within easy access. Marion shopping centre and public transport hub nearby, with beaches and hills within short drive, upcoming health centre and first class state aquatic centre to name a few all make life easy and full of fun.

"A suburb with a lot to offer but some work to do."

Marion is not an attractive area but it has a lot to offer. Just about every street I have seen in Marion lacks the trees lining the road, someone simply forgot all those years ago. Sure there are some majestic gums around but from what I've seen Marion lacks that green feel.

The roads are wide and the blocks are a good size. There are also a good number of units and townhouses in the area so there is a bit for everyone. Although, given its proximity to Marion Centre it is slightly overpriced in the area in my opinion.

Marion Centre, in nearby Oaklands Park, offers everything you could need, from shops, to great places to eat and some good night spots and a big cinema. Marion Centre is the best suburban shopping centre in Adelaide.

It is a short trip to the beaches, including Glenelg and with MarionCcentre a public transport hub it’s easy to get around. There is a frequent bus that runs across to Flinders University. The buses into the city and to Flinders run often and on time. Marion almost has it all.

However, you do pay for what you get; it is usually much more expensive than the surrounding areas.

"A great spot for shopping, university and the beach"

A huge suburb situated about 25 minutes to the south of Adelaide, Marion is centred around the enormous Westfield Shopping Mall.

Offering a wide range of shops, fast food restaurants, cinemas and bars, Marion is an entirely self-sufficient suburb. There is the Flinders Hospital (both public and private), a number of nearby primary and secondary schools, and many sports facilities including a swimming centre, oval and tennis courts.

Marion is a great spot for Flinders University students to be based, with the university just a 5 minute drive away.

Housing in the area is relatively cheap compared to those suburbs closer to the Adelaide CBD. However the CBD can easily be reached by frequent train and bus services. Another great benefit of this location is the proximity to the beach – just a 5 minute drive and you’ll be on the sand.
