Reviews of Mater Street, Collingwood
"Walking distance to everything without the noise of everything!"
We loved living in Mater Street. It’s a short walk to all the fabulous cafes, bars and bespoke shops in Smith Street and Brunswick Street, and has easy car access to the Freeway if you need to travel afar. The 86 tram stops two blocks away and there’s fabulous bike paths down Wellington Street, connecting you to the city if you’re a pedal pusher. All this centrality with none of the associated noise! The neighbourhood is extremely safe with a large proportion of owner-residents. Zoned for Clifton Hill Primary and a short stroll to Gold Street Early Learning Centre, the Fitzroy Pool and several parks and playgrounds, the area is also very family-friendly. A community garden on the corner of Mater and Wellington Streets is a lovely bonus. We were very happy in this neighbourhood.
