Reviews of McMahons Point, NSW

"McMahons Point, an unspoiled village on Sydney harbour"

I've lived in McMahons Point for 40+ years, went to school locally, and the really nice aspect about the suburb is the peace and solitude it offers, yet minutes from the vibrance of the CBD. There are plenty of activities, Lavender Bay walk, Luna Park, train, bus, ferry and soon Metro. Lots of restaurants from quaint cafes to 5 star dining, just a real close net vibe of locals who are real people. I love MMP! So close to everything and yet so far from the lunacy.

"Sought after suburb surrounded by water..."

McMahons Point offers a unique lifestyle, that of a city location but with a village feel, its pretty tree-lined streets and parks are an oasis within this vibrant and busy suburb. Take a stroll up Blues Point Road where you will find an abundance of fresco dining options, pubs and diverse boutiques and stores.

This highly sought after suburb is 3 kms from the CBD and sits on a peninsular flanked by Berrys Bay to the west and Lavender Bay to the east.

The area offers a mixture of pretty cottages, contemporary and period apartments, fabulous waterfront homes and commercial developments. Its easily accessible by the Harbour Bridge, buses, ferries and trains. The Warringah Freeway provides a link south to the Sydney CBD and north to Chatswood.

To the locals it remains a hidden gem situated close to the CBD and to visitors its a place of great food, beautiful views and a relaxed atmosphere.
